10 kiosks, consisting
of a PC with a 42” plasma display and Microsoft PowerPoint,
are strategically located in high pedestrian traffic areas,
branch offices, and partnering retail businesses.
With a presentation consisting
up to 50 slides and 60MB in size, updating required the mundane
tasks of editing the original slide show, delivering it via
CD-ROM to each location, and restarting the new slide show.
Realizing the
loss of potential sales, risking possible legal action,
and with no documented or streamlined
updating process, the client sought a new system of standards
and technology to ensure all advertised property listings for
today and in the future was extremely accurate and consistent.
With the implementation of
PresentationPoint’s DataPoint product, NetWire Media integrated
a slide show management component into their online, web-based
content management solution, ContentGeniusTM. Today, the result
is a unique dynamic, database-driven
solution that allows the client to manage slide show
content as well as manage their online website listings in conjunction
with the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) directly from an Internet
browser. By utilizing DataPoint, Microsoft’s
SQL Server technology and on-demand content delivery via the
Internet, the slide show
has been reduced to approximately 35KB.

the client can now easily create and manage only one property
listing presentation while benefiting from:
